Robert Kumaki

Bob Kumaki is Principal of the Ronin Group, a loans 500 marketing communications consulting firm.


Bob has over two decades of marketing experience in numerous categories including packaged goods, consumer durables, insurance, automotive, sporting goods, entertainment, telecommunications and retail for clients like Procter & Gamble, Sears, Allstate Insurance, E.J. Brach, adidas AG, Amoco Oil Co., Tribune Companies, Comcast Networks and the Government of Canada.


Bob has held management positions at some of the world’s largest marketing communications organizations including Young & Rubicam, Ogilvy & Mather, the Publicis Groupe’s Burrell quick cash loans online unit, and has run his own consulting firm for ten years. He has an extensive background in strategic planning, new market/new product development, positioning, and strategic alliances with a long list of turn-around successes.


Bob has served as Adjunct Professor of Advertising at the University of Illinois as well as an Instructor in the University’s International Executive Development Program. Well-known in Asian Pacific American community-based organization circles, Bob has served as an Officer, Director or Member of over a dozen APA groups including the Asian American Institute (Founder), the Asian American Coalition, the Japan America Society, the Heiwa Terrace Housing Corporation, the Japanese American Citizens’ League, the National Association of Asian American Professionals, the Japanese American Service Committee, the Organization of Chinese Americans, and Sister Cities International (Osaka). He has been a conference guest of major national 1000 loans online APA organizations including Leadership Education for Asian Pacifics (LEAP), the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) and the Committee of 100 as well as being invited as a guest lecturer at the University of Illinois, the University of Michigan, Northwestern University, the Asian American Bar Association, the Marcus Evans Asian American Conference, the Broadcast Cable Financial Management Conference, and Comcast Networks, among others.


Bob lives in Wilmette, IL with his wife and daughter.
